Experience the island
No one can deny that Ibiza is home to more events and parties per square metre than any other country, if anyone says this, we’d love to hear from them! This means that island life is vibrant year round, but undoubtedly peaks in the summer months when Ibiza parties are just part of everyday life.

Even before summer hits, it would be hard to set foot on the island and not discover one of the Ibiza opening parties 2023 has to offer to suit your preferences, there’s everything from chill house music to raves and all-nighters. Come to the white isle with this guide if you want to experience every major event on the Ibiza party calendar.

The sheer number of parties, festivals, and public Ibiza events in 2023 is going to shock you, that’s why we are narrowing your focus on the ones that really matter.

The ultimate Ibiza party calendar will be making waves all year

From art to cultural events and of course world famous DJs, these are the Ibiza parties every celebrity and influencer will have on their agendas this year:

Ibiza opening parties 2023… Right through to closing!

Ibiza is well known for both its opening parties and closing parties. They are usually held in the most famous clubs on the island such as Pacha, Amnesia, and Ushuaïa but in fact, almost every establishment celebrates its start of the season! It’s a way to say, “we’re open for business,” and to invite world-renowned DJs that attract thousands of people.

Between the opening and closing parties, every clubber enjoys a summer full of parties with the best music and the relaxed Ibizan atmosphere to wind down to.

Patron saint festivities

Each town on the island celebrates its own patron saint with a day full of excitement and fun. It usually includes parades, fireworks, and stalls selling typical Ibizan food amid live music. Each is on a different day so ask your hotel or resort staff to point you to the nearest town and their patron saint’s day, but put these significant towns on your personal Ibiza party calendar:

January 17th: San Antonio
February 12th: Santa Eulalia
April 5th: San Vicente
April 23rd: Sant Jordi
June 21st-24th: Ibiza town centre
August 8th: Puig des Molins
October 12th: Formentera
November 16th: Santa Gertrudis

Gay Pride in Ibiza

Ibiza’s Gay Pride celebrates diversity and inclusion in June. For at least a week, the island becomes the stage for fashion shows, glamorous parties, and awareness campaigns at Ibiza events.

This year, June 9-17th 2023, Ibiza welcomes all get-togethers that reclaim freedom, equality and respect for all human beings, embracing everyone’s sexual orientation, gender identity, or sexual preference.

Dreams of Freedom

Sueños de Libertad is an annual music and art festival that is held in Ibiza’s main town. You can enjoy both national and international bands, art exhibitions, street art, and various markets with a food court. This event began in 2015 with the sole objective of uncovering the original spirit of Ibiza, which united people of all kinds on this magical island.

Medieval Ibiza

During the second weekend in May, the old town of Ibiza, which is known as Dalt Vila, is transformed into a spectacular mediaeval market. Street vendors, nobles, fakirs, snake charmers, and even minstrels will be the stars of a grand party with which the City Council will celebrate the declaration of Ibiza as an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The traditional fair will celebrate its 23rd edition this year, flooding Dalt Vila with festivities from May 11 - 14th. The festival is meant to exalt the culture that has shaped the essence of Ibiza, a city through which the Phoenicians, Romans, and Arabs have all passed, and which today continues to flex to multiple cultures’ influence, including the visitors from abroad we are thrilled to welcome.

Not only is Ibiza a dream for clubbers, you see – there is something for everyone, from history buffs and devout catholics to families and warriors of equality. There’s so much more on the whole island than the Ibiza opening parties you’ve likely seen on TV.

Now, you only have to decide which party from the calendar is for your group, and book your flights! We’d be delighted to receive you at Invisa Hotels.
