To plan an affordable holiday in Ibiza, you can find many ways to save money. Booking hotels in advance and on offer, travelling at low-season and keeping a budget for food and activities is always recommendable.

However, your biggest expense is likely to be airline tickets. Cheap flights to Ibiza can be found but you need to know how and when to look for them!
We have shared reasonably-priced restaurants before, and ways to save on any trip to Ibiza. Today, our main objective is to help you find cheap flights to Ibiza, hassle free. Let’s start by what you need to know to tap into the most generous airline pricing policies.

Tips for finding cheap flights to Ibiza

Any holiday gets off to a great start if you are able to get cheap plane tickets. The art of uncovering bargains starts with time:

Buy in advance.

One of the best ways to save money is to find low-cost flights to Ibiza many months ahead of your trip. Prices tend to be lower on advance purchases and you can save even more if you travel in low season.
Buying tickets seven weeks in advance can lead to discounts of 10 to 25%.

Be flexible.

If your dates are fixed, it’s more likely you’ll have to pay more for tickets. But if you can adjust your itinerary by a few days or browse weeks that have low-cost flights to Ibiza advertised, you'll have more room to find significantly better prices.

Compare prices.

Price comparison sites like Skyscanner, Kayak and Momondo are great for finding the cheapest airline tickets. These sites allow you to compare the prices of different airlines on one website and can show you the best options for your trip. Note that Kayak includes the taxes in the initial comparison so you’re not surprised after going through all the steps to purchase!

Activate price alerts.

Most price comparison sites and airlines offer the option to receive price alerts for a specific trip. This allows you to receive notifications when ticket prices drop, so you can buy at a discount.

Travel on unpopular days.

The most popular days of the week to travel are Fridays and Sundays, so tickets for these days are usually more expensive. Flying on less popular days, such as Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday, can be a good way to save money on airfare.

Buy at night.

In general, it's best to book during the week and avoid flight shopping on weekends. Most of the cheap flights to Ibiza won’t be available to weekend shoppers, nor in the afternoons, since that is when most people are browsing airline sites. Buy your tickets early in the morning or late at night to ensure cheap holidays in Ibiza.

Which airlines offer the most low-cost flights to Ibiza?

Ibiza is a popular tourist destination throughout the year and several airlines offer direct flights from different cities in Europe. Knowing who to book with can save you a pretty penny. Here are the main companies that offer flights to Ibiza and a high-level comparison:

Ryanair operates flights to Ibiza from various European airports. This airline usually offers very cheap rates, especially if you book in advance. If you travel light, this is an excellent option as Ryanair favours suitcase-free travellers.

1.Vueling is a good option for those looking for comfortable and cheap flights to Ibiza. No frills means lower fees.

2. easyJetis a British low-cost airline that flies to Ibiza from all over Europe. It is known for offering very competitive prices and excellent customer service.

3. Iberia is a good option for those looking for high-quality service and comfort. Occasionally, this airline is good for affordable holidays in Ibiza however, the probability of such is lower than for other airlines.

4. British Airways, the UK flag carrier, offers flights to Ibiza from several European cities. It has high-quality service and comfort, although this tends to be reflected in its prices compared to low-cost airlines.

5.Air Europa offers cheap flights to Ibiza from cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Malaga, Amsterdam and Milan, among others in mainland Europe.

6.Jet2 is a small but great option for cheap flights to Ibiza from various cities in the UK.

Complete the transportation savings: Consider your trip from the airport

Ibiza airport is located just 7.5 km from the Ibizan capital and multiple options that don’t include car rental – usually the most expensive way to move around – exist to get you from plane to pool.

Public transport

The cheapest way to get from Ibiza airport to the centre of Ibiza town is by bus. The ticket costs around €3.50 and takes between 25 and 50 minutes depending on the stop where you get off.
Buses pass every 15 or 30 minutes depending on the time of day and the time of year. Of course, the high season sees much more frequent buses but you’ll never be waiting long for public transport in Ibiza, the island is very well connected. Bus services run from 6:30 am to 11:30 pm.

Line 10 connects the airport with various points in the Ibizan capital, including Avenida de España, the Port of Ibiza – close to Hotel La Cala – and the bus station last of all. This means that, even if your final stop is in Formentera, you can see a little of the town centre before being dropped off at the port for the ferry.
The Formentera ferry runs from 6:30 am but the last ferry docks at 1:00 am and costs €20 for non-locals.

Private transport

A taxi is another option and usually costs between 15 and 20 euros to be picked up from the airport. The only problem you might encounter is thatin high season, you may have to wait a while for a taxi to be available.
There are always many options in terms of size and types of taxi, however. Simply follow the signs for taxi services when you leave arrivals and tell them the size of your group and any special needs.
