The pace of life here is typically laid back and you’ll find all you could ever want from a family-friendly holiday resort in Ibiza, Santa Eulalia Ibiza, and its sister resort Es Cana Ibiza. Just a few minutes up the coast, they offer so many activities, amenities and great things to see and do, you’ll need to stay another week just to fit it all in your busy schedule!
Here, we preview 7 of the best things to do in Santa Eulalia Ibiza and the surrounding area so you have one great option for every day of your next week in the sun. We can’t wait to see you soon!
Try some water sports on the beach in Santa Eulalia
In addition to a picture-postcard marina filled with everything from charming local fishing boats to the superyachts of the rich and famous, which you’ll be able to see with a stroll around Port de Santa Eulalia, just two minutes from the Invisa Hotel La Cala in Santa Eulalia Ibiza, there’s also a great range of water sports to try on the resort’s beaches. Kite surfing, banana boating, snorkelling and jet skiing… you name it, it’s on offer right here.
Enjoy a stroll along Mariner’s Beach
The wide, palm tree-line promenade that runs the length of Santa Eulalia is the perfect starting point for a pleasant stroll at any time of day. Heading to the south of the resort, you’ll find the stunning Mariner’s Beach, a 400-metre stretch of wide golden sands with awesome views of the resort and out to sea. Whether you stay the whole day or just do some exploring, this is a great part of the resort to see and enjoy. The great range of bars and restaurants in the vicinity are another reason to head down here.
Sample some tapas on Restaurant Street in Santa Eulalia
Carrer de Sant Vicent is the beating heart of Santa Eulalia Ibiza and known by locals and visitors alike now as ‘Restaurant Street’. Can you guess why? Just seconds from the fantastic family-friendly Invisa Hotel La Cala, you’ll be spoiled for choice with an amazing range of places to eat and drink, from traditional, family-run tapas joints to seafood restaurants, cafés, bakeries, pizza places and countless other international options.
Hit the shops
With a bustling centre that still feels pleasant and relaxed, Santa Eulalia Ibiza is the perfect place for a spot of retail therapy. Heading a few minutes up the coast to the next charming resort of Es Cana Ibiza, you’ll also find some great places to pick up some souvenirs of your time on the island – or a little something for yourself! Whether it’s jewellery, clothes, gifts or food and drink, you won’t be disappointed here.
Take in the views on Puig de Missa Hill
Puig de Missa is the hill you can see just behind the resort of Santa Eulalia and is even visible from parts of Es Canar. At the top you’ll find a charming ancient whitewashed church, typical of a Spanish town but no less beautiful. The gardens around the church are pretty and perfect for exploring, whilst the views from the top down over the resort and stretching as far as Es Canar (and our amazing Es Canar hotel!), the amazing eastern coast of the island and even out to Formentera on a clear day are equally thrilling, this is a great place to stretch your legs and do some exploring.
Paint the town red
While Santa Eulalia is a great place for family holidays and relaxing breaks as a couple, it also offers a vibrant and varied nightlife. With a huge variety of great bars on the main strip, wherever you end up, it promises to be a lot of fun here in the resort. If you’re staying just along the coast in one of our fantastic Es Cana hotels, you can easily make the most of the nightlife in the bigger, busier Santa Eulalia by organising a short-hop in a taxi to bring you to the heart of the action.
Head to the hippie markets at Las Dalias and Punta Arabí
A short drive outside the resort on the outskirts of Es Cana Ibiza, you’ll find the hippie market of Punta Arabí, a haven for those who love shopping, markets or just finding a great bargain. With something for everyone, you can’t come away disappointed. Es Cana is the smaller, sister-resort of Santa Eulalia, but is a great destination for a day out in itself, or even a longer stay, besides the markets! Home to the fantastic Invisa Hotel Ereso, you can get to know the charming, quieter resort of Es Cana Ibiza from a central location, just seconds from the beach. A little further up the road you’ll find Las Dalias markets, if you’re still not all shopped-out!
