Travel tips
The white isle has so much to offer and those who tell you that the sunrises in Ibiza are top of the list, they are giving you a valuable tip! Getting up a little early to see the sunrise in Ibiza will be your favourite experience while on holiday here.

What time does the sun rise in Ibiza?

Why would you get up early to see the sunrise in Ibiza? In fact, depending on the time of year and where you stay, you'll find that basking in the glow of nature takes you to a level of peace and relaxation that can be achieved in few places in the world.

To start your day in the best way, you might need to get up between 6 am and 7pm: the sun rises from June to September at 6:34 am, while in mid winter you’ll see the sun rise at 7:23 am. In between, the sun will shine on you all day for 14 hours, plenty for you to soak up the vitamin D.

Do check the exact time of sunrise in Ibiza when you arrive depending on which part of the island you’re on, you might find that it is obscured if you are on the western side of Ibiza.

8 best places to watch sunrise in Ibiza
There are countless places to enjoy the sunrise so it was hard to narrow it down to only eight. Nonetheless, we are certain these are the most incredible corners to see the beauty of nature.

We can also tell you that some of the best viewing spots may require some walking or access over uneven terrain. We’ll highlight such when it’s the case in this list:

Punta Galera

Located on the northern coast of Ibiza, Punta Galera is known for unique rock formations. In spite of it being a stunning location, not many tourists know about it, so it is a quiet and picturesque place to watch the sun rise, sitting on the rocks and enjoying the view of the sea.

Es Vedra islet

No wonder this iconic rock formation, emerging from the sea, is one of the most mystical places in the world. Head to the beach of Cala d'Hort, from where you can watch the sunrise over Es Vedra – an impressive landscape. This islet is said to be blessed by positive energy and also home to supernatural phenomena. There’s even more to Es Vedra than being a sunset viewing point!

Ses Salines Natural Park

While many think of watching the sunset or sunrise from a beach, there are other special places like the Ses Salines Natural Park. Sitting on the southernmost point of Ibiza, this is a spot of tranquillity and wildlife, and you’ll be astounded by the birds and other fauna of Ses Salines you’ll see if you visit in the earliest hours of the day.

San Antonio

To the south-eastern point of the island, the famous party spot of San Antonio is also home to some of the best sunrises Ibiza can offer. In fact, it's such a privileged geographical position you can watch sunsets and sunrises here, better than anywhere in the Mediterranean in our opinion. You can pick a busy street or a tranquil café on the coast to watch the dawn, dealer’s choice!

Es Canar

Es Canar beach is very family-friendly, with easy access from Santa Eulalia. It is also close to the hippie craft market, Punta Arabí, where you can find many handmade products and the latest Ibizan fashion after watching the sunrise with breakfast. Es Canar is another of the most beautiful places to appreciate the view of the dawn in Ibiza.

Benirrás beach

Benirrás beach is located to the north of Ibiza, it is famous for the drum playing that is part of the local culture at sunset, but it is also an incredible spot to watch one of the best sunrises in Ibiza. Take your coffee down to the beach and enjoy the first hours of the day.

Cap des Falcó lighthouse

Overlooking the southern tip of Ibiza, the Cap des Falcó lighthouse offers panoramic views of the sea and nearby islands. But you don’t need to be in the lighthouse to appreciate the views. Imagine the stunning photos you could take of this sunrise in Ibiza with the lighthouse decorating the foreground – magical.

Es Savinar viewpoint

The Es Savinar viewpoint, better known as Pirate’s point, is located on the west coast of Ibiza with impressive panoramic views of the sea and the cliffs. If you can reach the summit of the tower before sunrise, which will include a little off-road walking, you’ll enjoy the view of the first rays of light over the land with the sea behind you.

Have we tempted you to rise a little earlier than the sun? This list could give you enough places to start your days over a week in Ibiza, and if you ask your Invisa team on arrival, they will recommend even more places close to your resort for views of the best sunrises in Ibiza. Enrich your stay and delight the senses with the best sunrises Ibiza has to offer.
