Cycling Routes from Our Hotels

Here are the top cycling routes in Ibiza, tried and tested by our teams, families, and friends in Ibiza.

1. Invisa Cala Verde in Playa Es Figueral

Starting from our hotel Invisa Cala Verde, cycling enthusiasts will find a paradise of routes that stretch across the picturesque Ibizan countryside and trails along its coasts. This destination right on Playa Es Figueral is the beginning of a variety of routes suitable for all levels, from gentle rides along the coast to challenging trails into the mountains.

We’ll especially highlight the unmissable route to nearby Cala San Vicente, along which you'll enjoy stunning panoramic views. The half-hour it takes to get there will be worth the pedalling. In addition to this popular route, there are other routes worth exploring for those looking to diversify their cycling experience in Ibiza. Here are the first two to put on your cycling plan:

    • Northern Ibiza Cycling Route
Starting from the Invisa Cala Verde hotel, this Ibiza cycling route will take you through unique sites worth seeing in the north of Ibiza, from traditional Ibizan villages to tranquil paradise beaches. This one is ideal for visitors seeking a combination of rural tourism and nature.

    • Es Amunts Cycling Route
This medium to difficult Ibiza cycling route ventures into the protected area of Es Amunts, known for its rich biodiversity and spectacular landscapes. Here, you’ll experience the wildest and most natural side of Ibiza, with trails that traverse dense pine forests and unique views of the cliffs. Bring your bug spray!

2. Invisa Cala Blanca in Playa Es Figueral

Also located in this privileged spot on the island, Invisa Cala Blanca is the ideal starting point for cycling routes that will take you to discover picturesque corners, soak in nature and earn your afternoons by the pool. Near this resort, you can find everything from gentle routes along the beaches to adventurous trails along rural paths. This area is a true paradise for cyclists of all levels.

  • The Hidden Beaches Cycling Route
From the Invisa Cala Blanca hotel, you can start an Ibiza cycle route that leads you to discover some of the most secluded and beautiful beaches in Ibiza: Cala Xarraca, with its crystal-clear waters; Es Portitxol, a remote cove that seems frozen in time and is perfect for those seeking absolute tranquillity; as well as Aguas Blancas, famous for its stunning sunrises and relaxed atmosphere.

With portions of the route ranging in difficulty, from flat and accessible paths near the coast to small hills offering panoramic views, each segment promises its own reward. Bring your electrolytes but don't miss out on this cycle path!

  • Dalt Vila Cycling Route
For a unique cultural experience, the cycle path to Dalt Vila, the old town of Ibiza, allows you to immerse yourself in the island's rich history. This cycle route passes through Ibiza’s imposing Renaissance walls, cobbled streets, and historical monuments, offering you a unique perspective of the local cultural heritage – ideal for history lovers and those looking for a change of pace, mixing exercise with cultural touches to keep you energised.

3. Invisa Ereso (Es Canar)

From the Invisa Ereso resort, you can explore the east coast of Ibiza with its impressive cliffs and hidden coves. There are cycling routes through pine forests and sea views; every push of the pedal is an unforgettable experience. Bring your camera to capture the spectacular coastal landscapes!

Hiking Routes from Our Hotels in Ibiza

If you prefer walking to biking, here are our favourite hiking routes in Ibiza, for all levels and interests.

1. Invisa La Cala (Santa Eulalia del Río)

You'll find a paradise of hiking paths right at the doors of the Invisa Hotel La Cala. Got your suncream on?

    • Santa Eulalia to Puig de Missa Hiking Route
This hiking path climbs to Puig de Missa, offering panoramic views of Santa Eulalia and the sea. The well-signposted path will take you to the summit where a 16th-century church, a museum, and a traditional white cemetery are located. It's the perfect blend of nature, views, and cultural heritage.

    • S'Argamassa Hiking Trail
Trail through S'Argamassa offers you several options to walk through pine forests and along the coast. One of the highlights of this route is the Roman bridge of S'Argamassa – unforgettable.

Surrounded by the serene beauty of the Ibiza countryside, Invisa Es Pla can be your starting point for those exciting hiking adventures. With spectacular trails through pine forests, ancient rural roads, and mountain landscapes, every step is one closer to the natural essence of Ibiza.

    • Cala Salada to Punta Galera Hiking Route
This Ibiza hiking path starts at Cala Salada, one of the most beautiful beaches according to popular opinion, before turning west toward Punta Galera, known for its flat rock formations that extend into the sea. The path offers stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and is a great spot for bird-watching. It's ideal for nature lovers and those looking for a quiet spot to swim or snorkel in crystal-clear waters.

    • Sa Talaia Trail, Ibiza's Summit
Sa Talaia is the highest point in Ibiza, at 475 metres above sea level. There are several routes to the top, but the most accessible one starts in the quaint village of Sant Josep de Sa Talaia. From the summit, you can enjoy panoramic views of the entire island and the surrounding sea. The path is well-signposted and crosses a beautiful warm landscape for you to see all the flora of the white isle.

Tips for Enjoying Cycling and Hiking Routes in Ibiza

Before embarking on any outing, check that you take plenty of safety equipment, such as a helmet as well as enough water, and food to recharge your energy. It's also important that all visitors always show respect for nature and follow local signage and regulations – beware not to stray off the beaten path, for safety and respectful reasons.

During the summer months, consider the intensity of the sun and don’t forget your sunscreen and sunhat. Although most of the hiking paths in Ibiza are of moderate difficulty, and not advanced, you’ll need comfortable hiking shoes with a good grip, especially on dry rocky terrain, to prevent any slips or scrapes.

At Invisa Hotels, we are committed to offering you not only an exceptional stay but also experiences that connect you with the island’s soul. That’s why our resorts are located in the best spots to facilitate days out, enjoying the lovely weather here, and a variety of cycling and hiking routes to immerse yourself in nature during your next trip.

Get packing for those outdoor adventures that will leave you with unforgettable memories in Ibiza!
